The Choir was formed in 1918 by servicemen recently returned from the Great War and was based at Town End Methodist Church. They have performed without break for the past 90 years. Members are drawn not only from the High Peak but for many miles around.

The object of the choir is to enjoy a varied repertoire of music, to give charitable performances in the area and to foster the fellowship of singing.

The choir has performed over a wide area, from the Royal Albert Hall, London, to Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Sheffield Arena and most churches and halls for many miles around.

Currently, the choir has some 40 members and rehearse on Monday evenings a tDove Holes Methodist Church, Dove Holes, Nr. Buxton.

New members are always welcome.
